Following on from the kitchen of The Judd House is it’s delightful lounge area, a space proving that sometimes less is more. The lounge relies on just few well executed elements and finishes to create something extraordinary, with some help from clever styling to make it pop.
The key element and obvious hero of this space is the exquisite stone plinth, which extends through to a bookshelf with matching stone-clad shelving. Both the plinth and shelving are created from Signorino’s Emperador Grey marble, which has a navy bluish tone that picks up beautifully on the darker veins in the neighbouring kitchen’s Super White benchtops. This very deliberate matching was carefully evaluated during Bec’s slab selection at Signorino Stone Gallery, ensuring there would be no surprises on installation day. The Emperador Grey and Super White are a perfect compliment to eachother, and helping to tie the expansive room together whilst providing it with some variety.
