We mentioned earlier in our coverage that Chris and Bec Judd were keen entertainers – the proof is in their unbelievable Bar & Party Room. Decked with a stocked bar, wine fridges, a pool table and more, it’s hard to imagine ever wanting to leave the house. Not to mention, it’s not bad to look at.
The bar reintroduces Signorino’s Emperador Grey marble in a big way through the phenomenal benches and shelving. The sleek island bench stacks Emperador Grey on top of a stained oak substrate, with a brass detail added in between to break up the darker elements. The combination of brass and this particular stone is an inspired colour combination that we absolutely loved. Overall the thoughtful design of the island, similar to that in the kitchen, achieves grand look and feel without impacting on the openness of the room.
There’s less finesse to the impressive stone wall and bar shelving, which feels slightly more hearty and masculine and adds regal vibe in the area. Thanks to the ample light and space, this has been accomplished without creating an overly moody feel, which might’ve seemed out of place in the home.
